Ballet "Viy" staged by Radu Poklitaru - is a mystical story based on the Nikolai Gogol's novel - a parable of faith and disbelief, the trial of the human soul and the power of the spirit. The crazy story that happened to a regular student, Homa Brut, is the story of what happens when faith is not strong enough in its own right, and the dream is all the more difficult to distinguish from reality. Emotions, passions, despair, fighting with their own demons. How to recognize the evil that sometimes gets the face of an innocent and beautiful creature? How to resist the VIY itself? Who is Viy? A dream, evil or clear realities of the present…
