March 19, 6:00 PM – Evening of one-act ballets “Bolero” and “Rain”
Kyiv Opera on Podil, Mezhyhirska Street, 2
Spring is a time not to limit yourself in your desires, so the evening’s program includes two one-act ballets:
- “Bolero” by Maurice Ravel in a bold interpretation by Radu Poklitaru about the Sisyphean struggle of the individual with the crowd
- “Rain” – a philosophical choreographic suite about the fates of people involuntarily united by one time and space, where ethnic music and the works of Johann Sebastian Bach sound like the voices of different cultures united by common values.

March 22, 6:00 PM – Evening of one-act ballets “Friends” and “Tomorrow”
Kyiv Opera on Podil, Mezhyhirska St., 2
These are two one-act ballets that speak in different ways about what our “today” consists of and how “tomorrow” is born. “Friends” to the music of Peteris Vasks is the story of four people whose lives are intertwined with love, friendship, jealousy, despair, secrets, and a flickering hope. “Tomorrow” is a performance about those who live today and shape their own future with their daily actions and choices.

March 28, 6:00 PM – two-act ballet “La Traviata”
MCCM, Alley of the Heavenly Hundred, 1
We will end March with the third performance of the long-awaited premiere – the two-act ballet “La Traviata”.
The ballet “La Traviata” is a romantic confession of love for opera, embodied in the language of modern choreography and direction. Complex multimedia video content, rich light score, author's conceptual costumes – all this creates a multi-layered stage world of this performance, allowing the viewer to emotionally completely dissolve in this bright theatrical universe, where the story of the tragic love and death of Violetta Valerie appears as a hymn to self-sacrifice, devotion and resilience – those qualities that only a Woman is capable of.

April 15, 6:00 PM – Evening of one-act ballets “Quartet-a-tete” and “UNDERGROUND”
Kyiv Opera on Podil, Mezhyhirska Street, 2
A special place in the spring program is occupied by the evening of one-act ballets “Quartet-a-tete” and “UNDERGROUND” – an unexpected combination of dissimilar stories that touch the most vulnerable strings of the soul.
The one-act ballet “Quartet-a-tete” was commissioned by the Eindhoven Park Theater to specially written music by the Dutch composer Ada Maas – a quartet for four cellos, which became the basis of a choreographic parable for four dancers with an emphasis on the relationships of the characters and psychological nuances.
Radu Poklitaru's production of "UNDERGROUND" is inspired by Jean-Paul Sartre's statement "Hell is other people." The ballet tells the story of people who find themselves in fateful circumstances, where feelings are heightened, and the experience of the present becomes more important than the uncertain "later."

April 19, 6:00 PM – ballet in two series “Carmen.TV”
Kyiv Opera on Podil, Mezhyhirska St., 2
In April, the theater will present the ballet “Carmen.TV” – a performance by “Kyiv Modern Ballet”, which in 2006 was awarded two “Kyiv Pectoral” awards as the best performance of the year and the best work of a ballet master. In this interpretation, Radu Poklitaru, changing the order of the numbers of Georges Bizet’s opera and relying on the image of Carmen from Prosper Mérimée’s novella, offers a modern and unexpected reading of the classic plot with an original directorial emphasis on television history and the figure of an observer in front of the screen.

We would like to highlight performances that are suitable for watching with children: the two-act ballet "The Little Prince" directed by Radu Poklitaru and the two-act ballet "Alice Through the Looking Glass" directed by Kateryna Kurman.
April 26, 6:00 PM – Ballet in two acts “The Little Prince”
MCCM, Alley of Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred, 1
A performance that is ideal for watching with children.
At the heart of the ballet “The Little Prince” is a new reading of the story of the Little Prince, about his understanding of the value of relationships between two individuals, where each journey to a new planet is a deep understanding of the essence of the individual. This is a story about the superiority of simple things and values over the vanity and complexity of the “adult world”, about the importance of childhood as the main period of human life. The production of the Kyiv Modern Ballet Theater will remind adults that in the midst of everyday affairs, in the accumulation of material values, they forget about the spiritual roots that play an important role in the process of personality formation.
